Grounds Maintenance Committee
March 14, 2009

The Grounds Maintenance Committee has been working on proposed improvements to the landscaping to the entrance of  Paramont Estates. As you may have noticed, the lights at the entrance have been repaired and cleaned. The illumination of our lighting has improved by at least 30%. The electrician found several issues with the configuration of the wiring and is preparing a full report for the board.

The steel fence has been wire brushed and painted with rust-oleum. The PARAMONT lettering has been painted with gold paint and the rust on the cobblestone has been cleaned. A sealer will be applied to the cobblestone and a second coat of paint will be applied to the PARAMONT lettering in the near future.

The Grounds Maintenance Committee has also been working for the past two months brainstorming on ways to enhance the appearance of the entrance to Paramont. Our main objectives are to remove the old and overgrown golden cypress (which are a visual safety hazard), to add a variety of low maintenance annuals and perennials, and to improve the lighting of our beautiful cobblestone wall.

Our tentative plan is on two display boards at the clubhouse for your review and comments.
Our next meeting will be March 16, 2009 at 4 PM  at the clubhouse. You are cordially invited to attend and share your ideas with the Committee. If that is not a convenient time for you, we will also be in the clubhouse lobby at 7 PM.
